A FareWell
How do I begin to start ? Its the end of my softball coaching career with the AlleyCatz and a heart full of things I need to say. After many years the time has come to hang up my shoes. As I sit here and think about the old days , I remember the thrill of victory and think of the sadness of it being the last. They were many sleepless nights, but yet I wouldn't change one minute. The friends I have made and the families I have watched grow up through the years have been memories of my extended family.

I have many mixed emotions of leaving softball. I will cherish the good times and bad we all have spent together. I was blessed to be associated with so many wonderful people. We didn't always see eye to eye but worked it out and respected each other. Each player I've coached has always given so much love and joy to me.

I would like to give a big thanks to each of you for all your support you have shown me over the years. I was truly blessed to have each of you around me. I hope I treated you like a friend and not just an associate. I can't say good bye without telling you one more time THANK YOU for your friendship.

May each of you be blessed in life and know I'm just a phone call away. You have all been great to me and I will never forget. I will cherish your friendship forever. I would like to say to each dad....Be Careful, thank before you speak, tell your daughter how good she is doing. Don't always point out the negitive. I promise from experience, she needs your love and support. She looks to you for approval. When you lose that respect and love you will never get it back.

I know we think we know whats best, but do we really? Do we really know what they want or how they feel? Love them and support them. If they make the wrong decision be there to pick them up. I have met many fine coaches, directors, and umpires over the years. We haven't always seen eye to eye but worked it out. Each of you gave me so much support, I can't even begin to thank you. Look on the bright side. No more trick plays to upset coaches, No more umpires having to argue if it was a legal play or not!!! ( LOL) Really, I love you all....

May God bless each and every one of you! Enjoy the season, watch after each other and enjoy the game. It all ends quicker then you can possibly imagine. It truly has been a wonderful experience and I will miss you all. The AlleyCatz will continue with Coach Drew, Coach George, Coach Tony, and Coach Chris. To you guys, I know in my heart your ready! Respect the girls and they will respect you. You guys have made my decision so much easier. My phone is always on. I'm just a phone call away if you need me.
